Once a Victorian public toilet, now a pair of design-led suites tucked beneath Oxford’s streets. From the moment you step inside, rich textures, vintage pieces and custom details create an experience that’s intimate, atmospheric, and unexpected. Subtle nods to the building’s past are woven through layered, contemporary interiors that balance character with comfort. Light filters through pavement glass, high-gloss ceilings draw the eye, and every element invites you to slow down and take it in. Part curiosity, part cocoon — this is not just a place to stay, it’s a story you step into.
SUITE ONE
Bold yet refined, Suite One embodies a distinctly masculine elegance. Angular lines and strong geometries set the tone, enriched by darker finishes that invite a sense of intimacy and depth. Subtle references to the building’s past as a Victorian loo and to Oxford’s cultural surroundings, from the sculptural forms of the Ashmolean Museum to the drama of the Playhouse, give the suite a character that is grounded, confident, and quietly luxurious.
The suite offers 22 sqm of space and features a king bed, a walk-in rainfall shower. It accommodates up to two guests and, due to its underground location, is accessed via a staircase and is not wheelchair accessible.
